The Body Iron Weight Stack Adapter Plate helps you counterbalance the weight stack if the selector pin isnt in place. Some multi-exercise machines include a counterbalance feature. In certain exercises, the weight stack might lift if theres insufficient weight on it. Depending on the machine, you may need one or more adapter plates (typically 1-3) to maintain balance.

Commercial gyms often counterbalance machines to prevent the weight stack from lifting during different exercises. However, physiotherapists and rehab centers may prefer not to counterbalance, as it can increase resistance in certain exercises, which they might want to avoid.
